First day at work in Tokyo

It was 88 degrees at 9am. That’s what I get for moving from San Francisco to Tokyo. Still, the dream has come true. I’m now living in Tokyo, and staying here for a while. My first kid will be born in Tokyo, and that’s pretty awesome. If he/she wasn’t going to be born here, it would have had to have been in New York City. I spent a long-ass month since my last post organizing, packing, and preparing for all of the many things I’d have to do in order to live here. I landed at Narita last Thursday, and it’s been non-stop ever since. Bank accounts, alien registration forms, cell phones, apartment hunting for two days straight, etc. Lot of stuff to do, and even more ahead of me.

Anyway, back to work. Just wanted to commemorate the event. Day before my birthday, too. Internal clock is still adjusting. *Zzzzzz.*

It’s official. My work visa was approved by the Japanese Consulate, so the final preparations are being made to move my world to Tokyo, where I will hop into a giant Gundam and punch North Korean nukes out of the sky. Wish me luck.

Posting an easy-to-find reference to my in-depth interview with FYTO‘s Kenji Eno about his game, Kimi To Boku To Ritai (translates to ‘You and Me and The Cubes’), his upcoming WiiWare game. It’s out already in Japan, but should hit WiiWare in North America very soon. But who knows with Nintendo? They never tell anyone anything about what’s coming.
